SHARJAH – Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans were left disappointed after their group match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018 was washed off without a single ball being bowled at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium today (Friday).

The match, which was scheduled to begin at 04:30pm, was abandoned due to persistent rain at the venue. Both the teams will share one point each.
Earlier, the Kings won the toss and opted to bat first before rain foiled their plans. The match officials waited for almost two and a half hours before taking a decision.

Multan Sultans called in Muhammad Irfan while Karachi Kings have decided to give rest Shahid Afridi.

Multan Sultans entered the mega event impressively, beating defending champions Peshawar Zalmi in the opener and then going on to beat Lahore Qalandars.
However, Shoaib Malik’s XI lost to Islamabad United. On the other hand, the undefeated Karachi Kings seem to be on a roll. Not only have the Kings won all three of their games, they’ve managed to beat each side convincingly.
Today’s second match will be played between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United at 9:00pm (PST).
