ISLAMABAD – Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) first pre-Hajj flight carrying 328 intending pilgrims departed from Islamabad for Madina Munawara, Saudi Arabia on Thursday morning.
The pilgrims were seen off by Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister congratulated the intending pilgrims and went on to say that all possible arrangements have been made to provide the best possible facilities for the Pakistani pilgrims.
Meanwhile, the first private Hajj flight carrying 320 pilgrims also left for Saudi Arabia from Karachi Airport on Thursday morning.
Our Karachi correspondent reports that during the 2016 Hajj operation, PIA would operate flights from ten cities of Pakistan including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sukkur, Multan and Rahim Yar Khan.
