ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Dr Arif Alvi on Monday congratulated the Pakistan cricket team over their 14-run win against England in their second Wolrd Cup match at Trent Bridge, United Kingdom (UK).
The prime minister, in a tweet, said, “Congratulations to the Pakistan cricket team for a great win and for coming back into form after a poor start in the warm-up matches and the first WC match.

“You have the talent, all you need is the self belief that you can go all the way.”
Earlier PM Imran advised the team to “give your 100 percent, fight to the last ball and never let the fear of losing enter your mind, influence your strategy or play”.

Pakistan brushed aside England by 14 runs in a high-octane clash at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on Monday.
Green Shirts set a massive 349 runs target against England in its second World Cup game with Hafeez scoring 84 runs off 62 balls while Babar contributing 66 off 63 balls. Moreover, Skipper Sarfaraz scored 55 runs as Pakistan lost 8 wickets in its innings.
On the other hand, Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali took 3 wickets while Mark Wood sent two Pakistani players to pavilion.
