The media watchdog had on Wednesday revoked the licenses of Bol News and Bol Entertainment (Pak News) and ordered a complete shutdown of transmission of both channels.
It also directed cable operators to take the channels off air. The decision that came on World Press Freedom Day was taken after the security clearance of Bol’s Chief Executive officer Shoaib Sheikh, his wife Ayesha Shoaib, Viqas Atiq and Sarwat Bashir was rejected.
