Accountability cannot be ensured until 12 cases against PM Nawaz is investigated: Imran Khan

LODHRAN – Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) Chairman slammed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) stating that accountability of all cannot be ensured in the country until 12 cases against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif are investigated.

The NAB only highlighted the people involved in low-level corruption but avoid catching big fishes, Khan said, adding that the menace of corruption cannot be eradicated in this way.

The remarks of PTI chief came soon after Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced amending the laws of accountability.

Imran Khan reached Lodhran city on Saturday to condole with the victim families of the recent tragic train crash.

He also demanded that Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique should resign after the horrific accident as it was not possible to conduct an unbiased investigation under him.

He said that the train accident occurred due to the negligence of the management and that this was not the first time that such an accident had occurred. Imran Khan said that the communication system of railways should be improved.
