LONDON – Pakistan’s right-arm batsman, Babar Azam has made his way into the top three players as per the rankings issued by ICC on Sunday.
The MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings place Azam at third spot with Indian Skipper Virat Kohli retaining the top slot. Rohit Sharma has earned second spot in the rankings.
Kohli secured 891 points and Sharma bagged 885, while Babar Azam managed to gain 827 points.

“Australia’s wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey and South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen, who has come in for a lot of praise from captain Faf du Plessis, have also achieved career-best rankings of 34 and 30, after gains of 54 and 32 places, respectively,” stated ICC in its press release.
Moreover, Afghanistan spinners Mujeeb-ur-Rahman and Rashid Khan remain in the top-10 despite their team losing all matches, while Australia’s Mitchell Starc and Mohammad Amir have improved despite not coming into the tournament with many impressive performances.

As far as bowling stats are concerned, India’s Jasprit Bumrah tops the chart followed by Trent Boult while Pakistan’s Muhamamd Aamir is at the 12th spot.
For ODI team rankings, England top the chart with 123 points while Pakistan managed to secure 6th position with 98 points; India is at the second spot with 123 points.
In terms of all-rounders, Imam ul Haq secured 4th spot with 299 points; Shakib al Hasan tops the chart of all rounders as per the ICC rankings.
