Dadu: Polling for by-election in PS-86 underway

DADU – Polling for the by-election on the vacant seat of Sindh Assembly Dadu, PS-86 in underway.        

Polling will continue till five in the evening without any break.             

A total of 858,199 voters will cast their votes at 158 polling stations in the district.

Strict security measures have been taken at polling stations to avoid any untoward situation.

Main contestants for the seat are PPP’s Saleh Shah and PTI’s Imdad Leghari.                

Besides, three independent candidates Sardar Shuja Ahmed Panhwar, Syed Zaffar Ali Shah and Syed Mohammad Shah will also take in the by-election.

The seat fell vacant due to the death of PPP’s MPA Syed Ghulam Shah Jilani, the Radio Pakistan reports on Thursday.

The provincial government has announced a local holiday in Dadu district today.
