Indian goods seized as Customs Collectorate ramps up anti smuggling drive

ISLAMABAD – Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad stepped up its anti-smuggling drive on the instructions of member Customs Jawwad Agha and seized goods worth millions.

In its fresh operation on Saturday, two trucks loaded with transit goods, including Indian origin goods were seized by MCC Islamabad.






Moreover, huge quantity of Indian silk fabric, milk and other smuggled goods were seized by the anti-smuggling team of Islamabad customs on Islamabad Peshawar Lahore motorway near Kalar Kahar.

The fresh seizure is a second major confiscation in a month by Islamabad Customs wherein Indian origin goods were seized along with other transit goods.

The collectorate also seized smuggled vehicles worth over 60 million rupees in a single week. The department has seized goods worth over 170 million PKR in August alone.
