ISLAMABAD – Hammad Azhar took oath as Federal Minister in Islamabad on Monday.
President Dr. Arif Alvi administered the oath to him at a ceremony in Aiwan e Sadr.
On 11 September 2018, he was inducted into the federal cabinet of Prime Minister Imran Khan and was appointed as Minister of State for Revenue.
Hammad Azhar had presented the first federal budget of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government last month.
Speaking high of Hammad Azhar’s performance during the budget session, Prime Minister Imran Khan had said he (Hammad) had earned the federal ministry for emerging as a young leader with a great composure.
Son of former Governor of Punjab Mian Muhammad Azhar, Hammad has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since August 2018. He is a barrister by profession.
