Hafeez pays tribute to PAF pilot Hassan Saddiqui, wishes to present his playing shirt of ChampionsTrophy17 final

LAHORE – Veteran cricketer, all-rounder Mohammed Hafeez paid tribute the heroism of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) pilot Hasan Siddiqui and wished to present him with his playing shirt of Champions Trophy 17 to celebrate the winning moments together.

Muhammad Hafeez took to Twitter on Saturday and paid his salute to the PAF pilot, who shot down an Indian fighter aircraft during a dogfight and thwarted the enemy designs on 27th Feb.

Mohammed Hafeez tweeted that “Salute to Pakistan Hero, Air Force Pilot Hasan Siddiqui to make the whole nation proud on 27th Feb, I would like to get the Honour to present him my playing shirt of final of ChampionsTrophy17 to share & cherish the winning moments together, Pakistan Zindabad.’

Pakistan, in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final thrashed India, winning it by a grand margin of 180 runs.

Earlier, while mixing sports with politics, Indian cricket team wore military caps during their march against Australia to honor their army but ironically India lost the match to Australia courtesy a century by Pakistan-born Usman Khawaja who smashed his maiden century.

Pakistan Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi urged the International Cricket Council (ICC) to take strict action against India for violating ICC code of conduct and jingoism.
