PESHAWAR (Staff Report) – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa education department has revealed that public sector schools located in the province need another 14,653 teachers while students have to study in building without basic necessities being met.
According to report of provincial department more than 250 schools have temporarily been closed for different reason while 80 newly built schools still remian to be opened for students.
The report further disclosed that 4473 schools have no walls at all while other 3900 schools lack bathroom facilities.
The educational department has also said that KPK witnessed a 26% dropout rate at KG level and 24% students do not continue their education after grade 5 in the province.
