LAHORE (Web Desk) – Eid Ul Azha is around the corner and citizens earning livelihood in different parts of the country have thronged the bus and railway stations to share the joy of Eid on September 13 with their loved ones.
Majority of people belonging to cities and towns of Faisalabad, Multan, Gujrat, Rawalpindi, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, DG Khan, Rajanpur, Vehari, Khanewal, Kasur, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Nankana, Okara and Sahiwal work in Lahore. They have started departing for their native towns on Saturday (Today). Many of the passengers have also complained about over charging by the transporters.
Moreover, students seeking education in Lahore and Islamabad have also packed up the luggage to get rid of the quintessential issues of education and to catch up with cherished relatives.
The private and government-run bus terminals in Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad and other major cities are witnessing a massive rush of people. Queues for tickets could be seen at Badami Bagh, Kalma Chowk and Yateem Khana (near Babu Sabu) stations in Lahore.

On the other hand, high prices of sacrificial animals are keeping buyers at bay and a majority has mulled to purchase animal on the last day citing a probable downfall in the prices.
The government has announced Eid holidays from September 12 to 14 but a few fun loving individuals have already thrashed out plans to extend the vacations by stapling Sunday and next Friday to enjoy a whole week off.
State Bank of Pakistan has also issued a notification to keep the banking services operational on Saturday (Today) to facilitate the locals.
The Pakistan Railways has announced to run eight ‘Special Trains’ on the occasion of Eid-UL-Azha across the state in a bid to extend maximum facilities to passengers so that they may keep the Islamic festival with their loved ones.
In another statement the government has insinuated that the citizens could face load shedding during the festive days. It clarified that the power distribution firms had the complete control to manage power supply during Eid.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department on Friday has forecast scattered rain with dust-thunderstorm for the upcountry during Eid holidays that is expected to give a respite to the heat-stricken public.
