The event known as 9/11 took place on September 11, 2001. It involved a sequence of alleged hijackings of four passenger carrying aircraft. Two of the planes belonged to American Airlines and two to United Airlines. Two of the hijacked planes crashed into the twin towers in the World Trade Center (WTC) in the heart of New York city. The official version attributed the collapse of the twin towers to the impact of the aircraft and subsequent fires. A third building in the vicinity of the twin towers, the WTC7, also collapsed, due to a minor fire, according to the official version. One aircraft was alleged to have hit a less inhabited part of the Pentagon building and one aircraft was said to have crashed in Pennsylvania after the passengers were said to have gained control of the aircraft. Two of the hijacked planes took off from Logan Airport, Boston at 7:59 and 8:14 AM respectively, the third aircraft took off from Dulles Airport Washington D.C. at 8:20 AM and the fourth plane took off from Newark Airport, New Jersey at 8:42 AM. All aircraft were said to have been hijacked by Muslims.
John Farmer, senior counsel to the 9/11 Commission wrote the following: “In the course of our investigation into the national response to the attacks, the 9/11 Commission staff discovered that the official version of what had occurred (the morning of September 11, 2001) – that is what government and military officials had told the Congress, the Commission, the media and the public about who knew what when – was almost entirely and inexplicably untrue.” This meant that the government of the United States of America was engaged in covering up the truth about the 9/11 attacks. In an op-ed titled “Stonewalled by the C.I.A.” that appeared in the New York Times on January 2, 2008, Thomas H. Kean and Lee H. Hamilton, Chair and Vice Chair respectively of the 9/11 Commission, stated: “What we do know is that government officials decided not to inform a lawfully constituted body, created by Congress and the president, to investigate one of the greatest tragedies to confront this country. We call that obstruction.”
Earlier, Max Cleland wrote in his resignation from the 9/11 Commission: “It is a national scandal . . . This investigation is now compromised . . . One of these days we will have to get the full -story because the 9/11 issue is so important to America. But the White House wants to cover it up.” In 2004 Larry Chin wrote: “The 9/11 Independent Commission is an orchestrated cover-up, controlled by the Bush White House and Bush Justice Department, headed by Bush-appointed directors, and run by legendary Washington fixers and veteran war criminals with direct ties to the most likely 9/11 planners, operatives and beneficiaries. This fact has been amplified, as the Commission has begun to wrap up its final report, burying the truth about 9/11, under piles of spin, distortion, theater, unsupported allegations, warmed-over Bush administration lies, and lurid new fabrications.” One may also quote U.S. Air Force officer Lt. Col. Robert Bowman Ph.D.: “Scholars and professionals . . . have established beyond any reasonable doubt that the official account of 9/11 is false and that, therefore, the official ‘investigations’ have really been cover-up operations.” Dr. Bowman, a Vietnam war veteran, is a recipient of the Eisenhower Medal, the George F. Kennan Peace Prize, the Presidents Medal for Peace, the Society of Military Engineers Medal (twice), six Air Medals and dozens of other award and honors.
There are SOPs that had been laid down by the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) with regard to hijackings and planes straying off course, that had always been followed in the past. The FAA’s Aeronautical Information Manual: Official Guide to Basic Flight Information and Air Traffic Control Procedures, lays down: “If . . . you are in doubt that a situation constitutes and emergency or potential emergency, handle it as though it were an emergency.” It is an SOP that if a plane has strayed, the USAF scrambles jets to approach the strayed plane and bring it back on course. Professor David Ray Griffin notes that a jet scrambles to 29,000 feet within 2.5 minutes and can travel at a speed of 1850 nautical mph. American Airlines Flight AA 11 hit the WTC at 8:45 AM. Griffin writes: “If normal procedures had been followed Flight 11 would have been intercepted no later than 8:30, 16 minutes before it, in the actual course of events, crashed into the WTC. “ Griffin points out that “even if the FAA had waited until the plane went off course at 8:20 the plane should have been intercepted by 8:30 or 8:35 at the latest, again in plenty of time to prevent it from going to New York.” It is astonishing that planes were not scrambled for any of the four hijacked planes. Why was this not done is an unanswered mystery despite the passage of more than two decades!
There are numerous inexplicable things about the plane that is said to have hit the Pentagon. The Pentagon was said to have been hit by flight AA 77, a Boeing 757 carrying 50-58 passengers. As a result of the crash 125 people, mostly civilians, died. We may mention only some of the problems with the claim that the Pentagon was hit by a Boeing plane. Experienced air traffic controllers, who observed the object that hit the Pentagon, did not think that it could be a Boeing. David Ray Griffin quotes an air traffic controller: “ Danielle O’Brein, one of the air traffic controllers at Dulles who reported seeing the aircraft at 9:25, said: ‘The speed, the maneuverability, the way that he turned, we all thought in the radar room, all of us experienced air traffic controllers, that that was a military plane.”
Samuel Danner, an electrical engineer who had been flying since he was 16, saw the object that hit the Pentagon. He was driving and pulled his car to see the object properly. Danner told Christopher Bollyn that he had a good look at the flying object as it approached the Pentagon. He told Bollyn that the object flew past him at a distance of about 500 feet from where he stood and that there was no way it could be a Boeing 757. Danner told Bollyn “It was real low . . . it looked like it was under perfect control”. It was flying quietly at about 200 mph. as it approached the Pentagon and looked like a “humpback whale.” Danner saw a white flash of light and heard an explosion as the object appeared to hit the walls of Pentagon. Danner pulled out his emergency medical technician (EMT) shirt that he always carried in his car and went straight to the explosion site. He stood two feet from a single damaged 3-foot engine that was missing its blades. “There were no dead bodies and no substantial pieces of wreckage”, he said. He remembered smelling gunpowder or cordite. He participated with Pentagon personnel and they were told to pick every piece of debris. It surprised him that evidence was being removed instead of being flagged and classified. The teams were wearing suits designed for radioactive protection. So Danner, who actually saw the object fly past him from close, and the air traffic controllers who were looking at it on the radar, agree that it could not be a Boeing aircraft. Maj. Douglas Rokke, Ph.D., a retired U.S. military officer, stated: “No aircraft hit the Pentagon. You couldn’t make the turns with a 757. You couldn’t fly it over the light poles. You couldn’t get close to ground because of turbulence.”
Famous writer, the late Jim Marrs wrote: “Then there are startling problems with the holes in the Pentagon. The Boeing 757 has a normal wingspan of 124 feet, 10 inches. The official version of the Pentagon crash states that a 757entered the building at 45-degree angle. This angle would increase the wingspan to 177 feet. Note that the overall height of a 757 is 44 feet, 6 inches. Yet the hole at the Pentagon cited as entry point, photographed before the walls collapsed, was only between 15 and 20 feet wide, barely enough to accommodate the width of a craft’s body. And the hole’s height was less than two storeys or about 20 feet less than the half the height of the 757. Even after the walls collapsed shortly after 10:00 a.m., the gaping hole in the building was still not large enough to accommodate the Being 757’s wingspan. Oddly, no evidence of the plane’s wings or tail was found outside the building, other than the small piece of metal mentioned earlier.”
One writer (pseudonym Frances Farmer) wrote: “The nose of an aircraft, the radome, contains its navigation equipment. To enable the transmission of signals, the nose is not made of metal but carbon. Its shape has been designed to be aerodynamic but is not crash resistant. The inside casing, as well as its contents, are extremely fragile. The nose would crush on impact with an obstacle, not penetrate it.” After further discussion, the author concludes: “So it is not an aircraft nose that could have produced the hole visible in the third ring of the building.” The only object that could have produced such a hole is a missile which has a nose built of depleted uranium, a material that is harder than steel. This may well explain why some of the search and cleanup teams at the Pentagon site were wearing suits designed to shield radioactivity.
April Gallop, a Pentagon employee with top security clearance, told writer Barbara Honneger in a recorded interview that she heard explosions inside the pentagon building. She was working a pat of Pentagon that suffered the maximum damage. She heard one bomb explosion followd by aother. She stated: “Being in the Army with the training I had, I knew what a bomb sounds and acts like, especially the aftermath, and it sounded and acted like a bomb. There was no plane or plane parts inside the building, and no smell of jet fuel.” April Gallop also stated that the bomb went off the moment she clicked on her computer which showed the time as 9:30. April Gallop was working a mere 30 feet from the alleged “entrance” hole of the alleged impactor. It is to be noted that the Pentagon walls had been designed to withstand damage from an external bomb and/or external impactor. It is therefore certain that the internal damage to the building was caused, not by an external object but by explosions inside the building as reported by Gallop and numerous other witnesses.
Don Merkel, a Pentagon employee, told MSNBC: “Even before stepping outside, I could smell cordite. I knew explosives had been set off somewhere.” Per Stig Moller, who soon afterwards became the Foreign Minister of Denmark, happened to be in a hotel room in Washington D.C. on the morning of 9/11. He heard an explosion and saw smoke over the Pentagon building. He then looked at his wrist watch and noted the time on it as 9:32 a.m. The smoke and the explosion could not have been caused by the alleged flying object as it hit the Pentagon at 9:37 a.m. Barbara Honneger mentions an employee of Army financial management who was in the building and heard an explosion. “immediately afterwards, he said, hundreds of panicked Pentagon employees ran by down the corridor just outside his office and out the South entrance yelling ‘Bombs’ and ‘A bomb went off.’”
Similarly the official explanation of the destruction of twin towers as a result of the impact of the planes and resulting fires does not stand the arguments presented in the light of laws of physics and the evidence of eyewitnesses. The mutually consistent testimony of numerous eyewitnesses present inside and outside the towers at the time of their destruction was completely ignored by the 9/11 Commission. Why was the 9/11 Commission dishonest about eyewitness evidence? This is again an unanswered question even after 23 years. In an article titled “Muslims Suspend Laws of Physics” J. McMichael wrote: “Using jet fuel to melt steel is an amazing discovery, really. It is amazing that until now, no one had been able to get it to work and that proves that terrorists were not stupid people. Ironworkers fool with acetylene torches, bottles oxygen, eleric arcs from generators, electric furnaces and other elaborate tricks, but what did these brilliant terrorists use Jet fuel costing maybe 80 cents a gallon on the open market.” McMichael goes on to point out: “Steel framed car parks have been rigorously fire tested in a number od couneies. These tests demonstrate that most unprotected steel in open-sided steel-framed car parks has sufficient inherent temperature to withstand any fires that are likely to occur.” Tests conducted in Japan, USA and Australia show that the maximum temperatures attained in such fires are far below the melting point of steel. The highest recorded temperatures in such fire tests were 360 degree Celsius in Japan, 245 degrees Celsius in USA and 340 degree Celsius in Australia. Steel however has a melting point of 1538 degrees C. The aforementioned temperatures are far below the melting point of steel. Therefore, fire from jet fuel could not, as officially claimed, melt 200,000 tons of steel.
The collapse of the twin towers was filmed by TV cameras. On September 10, 2010, a press release was issued by Architects and Engineers or 9/11 Truth. It stated: “The Twin Towers suffered total destruction in 10 to 14 seconds in ear free fall acceleration which can only occur as a result of pre-set demolition explosives. More than 100 first responders reported explosions and flashes consistent with pre-set demolitions. Multi-ton steel sections were ejected 600 feet laterally at 60mph, a distance and speed consistent with high-pressure explosive detonations.” The press release further stated: “The presence of several tons of molten steel found in the debris is consistent with extreme temperatures generated by the use of thermite V an incendiary used to cut through steel like a hot knife butter. An international team of scientists found nano-thermitic material in World Trade Center dust samples . . . “
The testimonies of survivors of the WTC collapse point unambiguously to the use of explosives to demolish the twin towers. Some explosives were triggered before the impact of planes and some afterwards. In a detailed article in 2009, R. Herbst quotes from the testimony of Tom Elliot given to the Christian Science Monitor. Elliot was working in his office in Aeon Corp on level 103 of the South Tower. The report stated: “Sometime after 8:30 a.m. a bright flash of light startled him, and a rumble shook the structure. Flames appeared to be crawling up the outside of the building. Elliot and two others headed down the building stairwell. As they reached the 67th floor, United Airlines Flight 175 slammed into the 78th floor of their tower at 9:03 a.m. although its spectacularly televised impact was above Elliot, at first he and those around him thought an explosion had come from below. An incredible sound – he calls it an ‘exploding sound; – shook the building and a tornado of hot air and smoke and ceiling tiles and bits of drywall came flying from the stairwell. ‘In front of me the wall split from the bottom up.’” What conclusion can one draw from an exploding sound below, followed by a tornado of hot air, and smoke, and bits of drywall and ceiling tiles that came flying from below? What about the fire and that crept up sometime after 8:30 but well before the plane hit the tower, giving time enough to Elliot to run down to the 67th floor from the 103rd floor?
William Rodriguez was declared a 9/11 hero. He happened to be in the basement when Flight 11 hit the North Tower. Herbst quotes Rodriguez: “When I heard the sound of theexplosion, the floor beneath my feet vibrated the walls started cracking and everything started sinking. . . . Seconds later I heard another explosion from way above. Although I was unaware at the time this was the airplane hitting the tower.” Herbst writes: “Rodriguez said Anthony Salmachin, supervisor for the American Maintenance Co., was one of the people in the room who stands ready to verify his story. Subsequently Rodriguez helped to save hundreds of people in the North Tower by opening doors with a master key for firefights before he was finally turned back at the 39th floor. He also added that he heard a series of small explosions going off between the 20th and 30th floors while making his way through the stairwell to the top floors. Although initially considered an official hero, he soon concluded that the explosions occurring before Flight 11 hit the tower prove that the towers were brought down by controlled demolition. In an effort to open a fair and honest investigation as to why the WTC collapsed Rodriguez has approached and been ignored by government officials, the 9/11 Commission and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).” In his article Herbst has quoted numerous other sources as well.
In an article that appeared in the Journal f 9/11 Studies, Craig T. Furlong and Gordon Ross wrote: “On September 11, 2001, the seismic stations grouped around New York City recorded seismic events from the WTC site, two of which occurred immediately prior to the aircraft impacts upon the Twin Towers. Because these seismic events preceded the collisions, it is clear they were not associated with the impacts and must therefore be associated with some other occurrence. None of the authorities charged with the responsibility for the investigation have given a valid reason for the difference in times between the seismic events and the aircraft impacts. Only by considering the evidence of basement explosions before the aircraft impacts, as experienced by William Rodriguez and 36 others can an explanation be found for the fact that the seismic stations recorded seismic events originating from the WTC sites prior to aircraft impacts. It seems unlikely that Middle Eastern terrorists could have overcome the WTC security and managed this kid of high level, technological coordination. Do the facts presented here, simple and few, raise the possibility of inside involvement in 9/11-01, both before and after the attack?”
In July 2009 Graeme MacQueen wrote in the Journal of 9/11 Studies: “I consider both the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory’s seismic evidence and the evidence provided by a less studied form of seismic instrument, the video camera. I also draw on witness testimony. I conclude that key statements by NIST are false. Major shaking of the earth, and corresponding seismic signals, started well before the debris hit the ground. In fact, it seems certain that the shaking of the earth started before visible signs of building collapse. The evidence is incompatible with the official NIST hypothesis of the cause of the collapse f the Towers.”
Although we have dealt with the holes in the official version regarding the collapse of the twin towers we can also establish that building WTC 7 was brought down by explosives. But due to paucity of space we will not go into its details. Similarly the official versions pertaining to the two other flights UA 175 and UA 93 are full of falsities. These have been dissected by researchers. The role of Dick Cheney, the then Vice President, in allowing the planes to hit the twin towers and the Pentagon, has been questioned. On May 8, 2001, Dick Cheney was entrusted with the responsibility of coordinating and overseeing the U.S. government response to an emergency. In his testimony before the 911 Commission, Norman Mineta, Secretary of Transportation, mentioned the following incident: “During the time that the airplane was coming into the Pentagon, there was a young man who would come in and say to the Vice President, ‘The plane is 50 miles out’. ‘The plane is 30 miles out’. And when it got down to ‘the plane is 10 miles out’, the young man also said to the Vice President ‘Do the orders still stand?’ And the Vice President whipped his neck around and said, ‘Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?’” Since the plane approaching the Pentagon was no shot down in contravention of SOPS, Mineta’s testimony implies clearly that Cheney had given a stand down order, i.e. an order not to shoot down the plane.
Professor David Ray Griffin writes in his tenth book on 9/11 (9/11 Ten Years Later When State Crimes Against Democracy Succeed, published 2011): “It appears, therefore, that 9/11 was the most elaborate example yet of a false flag attack, which occurs when a country, wanting to attack another country, orchestrates attacks on its own people to implicate the other country. . . .But in 2001, the White House wanted to attack Afghanistan, Iraq and several other countries – including Libya, which is the latest country to be attacked by America. And, so it appears, evidence was planted to implicate Muslims.” To attack Afghanistan Bin Laden was held responsible for the 9/11 attacks. However, on June 5, 2006, Rex Tomb, Chief of Investigative Publicity for FBI told an investigative reporter: “The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Osama Bin Laden’s Most Wanted page is because FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11. . . The FBI gathers evidence. Once evidence is gathered, it is turned over to the Department of Justice. The Department of Justice then decides whether it has enough evidence to present to a federal jury. In the case of 1998 United States Embassies being bombed, Bin Laden has been formally indicted and charged by a grand jury. He has not been formally indicted and charged in connection with 9/11 because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11.” Still the U.S. attacked Afghanistan by saying that Bin Laden was behind 9/11!
In order to attack various Muslim countries the U.S. government lied repeatedly to its public and the whole world. The late Michael Ruppert wrote as early as 2006: “After the 9/11 attacks the U.S. government lied to create a war for oil in Iraq telling us that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, almost-ready atom bombs, poison gas and deadly germs. We were told that he helped execute the 9/11 attacks. It was all lies, and no one was held accountable for the thousands of deaths (murders) in Iraq and Afghanistan since then.” Jim Fetzer, founder of Scholars for 9/11 Truth movement stated in 2008: “According to the Center for Public Integrity, prominent members of the administration made nearly 1000 lies to induce Americans to support a war in Iraq. These were made by George Bush, Richard Cheney, Condolezza Rice, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz and others. Why are they lying to us?”
The eruption of American militarism and the destruction of prosperous Muslim countries as a result of 9/11 benefitted the bankers who provided loans to the U.S. government for the wars and who are also among the owners of the military industry. But the greatest beneficiary of the wars was the illegitimate state of Israel. Israel is a project of the international banking families spearheaded by the Rothschilds. The losers of the war were the Muslims who suffered an immense number of casualties apart from the destruction of several countries as well as the people of the United States. The U.S. not only went into deeper debt, the country’s democratic norms were subverted. The United States was transformed into a surveillance state almost overnight with the passage of the Patriot Act and subsequent presidential executive orders in subsequent years. The Project of New American Century (PNAC), a neoconservative “think tank” prepared a report titled Rebuilding America’s Defenses. As Michael Meacher, the outspoken British MP, who died somewhat mysteriously, wrote: “The plan shows Bush’s cabinet intended to take military control of the Gulf region whether or not Saddam Hussein was in power. It says ‘while the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification, the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of regime change of Saddam Hussein.’”
The U.S. spent over twenty years in Afghanistan killing and maiming millions and then withdrew. George Orwell once wrote: “The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. Hierarchical society is possible only on the basis of poverty and ignorance. The new version is the past and no different past can ever have existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects and its object is not victory over Eurasia or East Asia, but to keep the very structure of society intact.”
