KARACHI – Careem, the leading ride-hailing service in Pakistan, has launched a new feature allowing users to schedule their rides in advance with the “Later Booking” option. This feature enables customers to book rides at least two hours ahead of time, ensuring the availability of a reliable vehicle at their desired time, even in the face of potential connectivity issues.
Designed to provide greater convenience for students, office workers, and travelers heading to airports or events, the “Later Booking” feature is simple to use. By opening the Careem app, selecting the preferred ride type, and using the “NOW” dropdown menu to schedule a ride, users can secure transportation exactly when they need it.
The system incorporates several checks to ensure a smooth experience, including contacting the assigned captain to confirm their readiness and offering a 15-minute waiting period upon arrival. Careem also provides top-tier vehicles for a comfortable and timely journey.
Imran Saleem, Careem’s General Manager, highlighted the importance of the new feature, saying, “Mobility is essential in our society, and our customers rely on us for their daily transportation needs. We continuously aim to introduce features that simplify and enhance the lives of our users. Whether it’s a student heading to class or a professional attending an important meeting, this feature meets their needs efficiently.”
In addition to “Later Booking,” Careem also offers its “Premium 5 & 10” service, allowing users to book rides for extended durations—either for five hours or an entire day of ten hours. This service is particularly useful for events like weddings or inter-city travel, where uninterrupted transportation is essential.
