Warrants issued for judge Humayun Dilawar in Bannu encroachment case

BANNU – Arrest warrants have been issued for Special Judge Central 2 Islamabad, Humayun Dilawar, in the case of alleged encroachment on government land in Bannu.

According to the police, warrants were also issued for Judge Humayun Dilawar’s brother, father, and registrar.

The police revealed that the Anti-Corruption Department obtained the arrest warrants from the court, and the government suffered a loss of millions of rupees in this case.

In this regard, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Special Assistant for Anti-Corruption, Musaddiq Abbasi, stated that an FIR has been registered against Special Judge Humayun Dilawar and his three brothers.

The suspects allegedly registered the land under fake entries and included it in a housing society, with Judge Humayun Dilawar serving as its chief executive.

Judge Humayun Dilawar sentenced the PTI founder Imran Khan to imprisonment and imposed a fine in the Toshakhana case on August 5, 2023.

Later, the Islamabad High Court suspended Imran Khan’s sentence in the Toshakhana case and ordered his release on bail.
