LAHORE – A furious lawyer slapped official of a Motorway police at Lahore’s Thokar Niaz Biag area on Sunday after he was informed by the latter about violating one-way rule.
According to the details, the cop identified as Arsalan stopped a car near Shahpur Kanjran U-turn for violating traffic rules.
The passenger, who was cautioned about the violation introduced himself as Mian Muhammad Ahmed advocate and slapped the police official.
The enraged lawyer went a mile more and gathered as much as twenty armed men from a nearby village who then brutally tortured Arsalan and his fellow Waseh Mukhtar.
When the Motorway police tried to enlist the help of local police, the lawyer tortured himself pretending to be a victim, however, an application seeking registration of FIR was filed against the lawyer by the cops in Chung police station.
Although lawyers are considered custodian of rule and law but in recent past, there have been burgeoning incidents where the educated class of society unleashed terror on their fellow citizens for no valid reason.
Earlier, last month a bevy of lawyers protested outside the Lahore High Court after the arrest warrants for one of their colleagues were issued by Chief Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.
