NEW DELHI – A man was arrested last Monday in Kamla Market area in central Delhi allegedly for raping an 8-year-old girl in front of his daughter according to police.
The accused was a 36-year-old widower who lived in the victim’s neighbourhood with two of his daughters.
Police said that accused had gone to the park with one of his daughters where he saw a little girl playing.
The accused baited the girl by offering her candies and took her and his daughter to a lonely place where he sexually assaulted the little girl, in front of his daughter.
He warned the victim of severe consequences if she told anyone about this incident, but the girl revealed the details to her mother after which the police were also informed and a case was registered against the culprit.
“The victim and the teenage daughter of the accused were being counselled,” police sources added.
