Indian forces unprovoked shelling martyrs two civilians along LoC

MUZAFFARABAD – Indian Forces on Monday launched unprovoked shelling along Line of Control (LoC), leaving two civilians dead and others injured, ISPR reported.

The Indian forces started heavy shelling without any provocation targeting the civilians in in Tatta Pani  and Jandrot sectors.

During the incident, Asad, 19, and Waqar, 18 scummed to their wounds received after getting hit by the splinters of shells in Bhabra village, while three including two women sustained injuries. The injured include Shehbaz ,30, Shumaila, 35 and Hifsa, 14.

Pakistan Army gave a befitting response to the shelling of Indian troops forcing them to stop the shelling. There are report of massive destruction on India side.

More than 400 ceasefire violatons have been committed by Indian force along the LoC since January of this year, surpassing the last year’s total of 382, officials informed.

On the other hand, Foreign Office summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh and recorded protest over the killing of civilian along the LoC.

Violations in June

On June 10, 70-year-old Shabbir Khan was killed in Polas village, Azad Kashmir after Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing across the LoC.

On June 8, four were injured as Indian troops opened unprovoked firing along LoC in Nikial and Kayani Sectors with heavy weapons and mortars.

On June 1, Indian troops initiated unprovoked firing at Battal, Jandrot and Hotspring sectors at LoC and injured three civilians.
