KARACHI – Gold registered significant gains in domestic market of Pakistan on Saturday amid rising global prices.
Data shared by All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association showed per tola price of 24 karat gold moved up by Rs1,600 to reach Rs275,500.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram surged by Rs1,372 to settle at Rs236,197.
The price of the precious commodity saw an increase of $16 in international market where it was traded at $2,656 per ounce.
International experts have predicted further increase in gold prices in coming months, saying the per ounce price could reach $2,700 per ounce during running year.
A day earlier, per tola price of 24 karat gold increased by Rs2,700 to reach Rs273,900. Similarly, the price of 10-gram surged by Rs2,315 to settle at Rs234,825.
