DUBAI – The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that there are no plans to move the 2025 Champions Trophy 2025 from Pakistan.
The development was confirmed by ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice, who assured that no team has expressed hesitation about playing in the tournament. He added that all teams are committed to playing in Pakistan.
He said that the ICC teams visit all member countries, including Pakistan, to ensure the successful organization of cricket events.
Furthermore, an ICC delegation of five to six members will visit Pakistan next week to inspect proposed venues for the Champions Trophy 2025.
The delegation will meet with PCB officials to discuss various important issues including practice matches and ticketing. The meetings will include heads and representatives from different departments.
The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy scheduled to be held in Pakistan will feature 8 teams: India, Australia, New Zealand, England, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.
Pakistan is the defending champion of the Champions Trophy, having won the title by defeating India in the final of the 2017 event.
