ISLAMABAD – Human rights lawyer and activist Asma Jahangir on Thursday rebuffed media reports that she will be part of the PML-N’s legal team which is going to defend the Sharif family in Panama case before the Supreme Court.
Saying “News on ARY false, she tweeted, “Neither has the Prime Minister’s House contacted me to take their case nor is it my field of law to accept such a case”.

A three-member implementing bench of the apex court had adjourned the case till July 17 (Monday) after receiving a final report from the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) on July 10.
On Wednesday, there were reports on media that the Sharif family have hired the services of four top lawyers of the country to submit their reply in the case.
According to Geo News, Khawaja Harris will head the team of lawyers, which also includes Amjad Pervez, while ARY News claimed that Asma Jehangir will also be joining the team.
