Two freight trains collide near Hyderabad leaving 4 injured

HYDERABAD – At least four persons were injured when two freight trains collided near Bholari Railways Station, area in Hyderabad on Saturday.

One train was carrying some cargo and another was carrying oil when the collision happened.

Around eight train cars overturned causing wastage of around 150 tons of oil. The injured have been shifted to a hospital in Jamshoro.

According to authorities, the movement of trains has been suspended and will be restored after the clearance of the track.

They added that the accident occurred because the auto signal had been ignored.

Operations are underway to remove the wreckage and reopen railways tracks for the movement of other trains.
