Pakistani student Dania seriously injured in hit-and-run in Houston

HOUSTON – A female Pakistani student has been shifted to a hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a speeding car in Houston, a city in US state of Texas.

Dania Zaheer, who studies MBA in a university in the USA, said she was hit by reckless driver, who later fled the scene after the accident.

The accident has left the Karachi-based student with six of her bones fractured. She is scheduled to undergo major surgery at a Houston hospital today.

The 25-year-old is one of the brilliant students at her university.

In Houston, Pakistan’s Consul General Aftab Chaudhry, former Federal Minister Baber Ghori, and others visited the hospital to see the student and offer their support.

They stated that during this difficult time, all American-Pakistanis stand with her.

Meanwhile, the perpetrator who ran over the Pakistani student in Houston has not yet been apprehended.
