Many in Bollywood don t like me because of my past: Sunny Leone

MUMBAI (Web Desk) – Bollywood actor Sunny Leone has always been vocal about not regretting her past as an actor in the adult film industry. However, the 33-year-old actor believes that because of her past, she will never win any accolades in Bollywood.

“I don’t ever expect to be nominated or to win an award, ever, I don’t,” she says, adding, “Because of my background and who I am, I don’t think I will ever win it. There are a lot of people in this industry who don’t like me and wouldn’t want to see me win anything at these big events or fraternity or whatever.”

However, Sunny loves attending award functions, unlike many of her other contemporaries. “I love going to award functions. I like dressing up, and my husband (Daniel Webber) also enjoys attending these events. We have a lot of fun. And I had made a resolution this year, to get out of the house and socialise more,” says the actor, who was in HT House to promote her film, Ek Paheli Leela.

And although she is not hopeful of winning an award herself, she says that she feels genuinely happy for those who do. “I get excited to see people win awards and especially for those movies that I have seen,” she says, and goes on to explain, “Like Queen (2014) got an award in some category and I was so happy that it won, only because I had seen it. Then a song featuring Salman and Jacqueline won an award, and when it was announced, we were dancing to that song. So I never get angry or jealous, and say that ‘Oh My God, I should have won that award or been nominated for it.”
