Checking points set up at these locations in Lahore amid crackdown against helmetless drivers

Bikers without helmet banned from entering Lahore

LAHORE – The traffic police have established checkpoints at various locations across Lahore as crackdown against those riding motorcyclists without helmets has been launched.

The police officials have been deployed at entry and exit points besides 10 other spots across the city. Authorities have decided that motorcyclists without helmets will be fined in the first stage but starting from next week they will not be allowed to enter Lahore

The traffic cops have been stationed at the following points

Ravi Bridge

Saggian

Thokar Niaz Baig

Babu Sabu

Ada Plot

Nawaz Sharif Interchange

Harbanspura

Gajjumata

Bhatta Chowk

The checking points have also been established at several other points.

Chief Traffic Officer Lahore, Amara Athar, said a similar campaign has also been initiated against people riding motorcyclists without valid driving licenses.

She said a fine of Rs2,000 will be imposed over riding a bike without a driving license.
