UK lawmaker Jo Cox killed in gun attack

LONDON (Web Desk) – Labour MP Jo Cox died after being shot three times and repeatedly stabbed in an attack. She was attacked when arrived at her constituency on Thursday.

The 41-year old mother of two was rushed to hospital after a gunman opened fire on her. Two shots were fired, leaving her bleeding on the ground. A man nearby also was slightly injured.

Police have confirmed she has now died.

The attacker, 52, has been arrested, police added without identifying any of the individuals,  or the circumstances of the incident, the Telegraph reported.

The lawmaker was scheduled to hold office hours with constituents at the Birstall Library.
