KARACHI –Pakistan’s hit drama serial ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ remained in news as a recent episode shows paintings, which according to the artist were stolen from Mohatta Palace.

As the news amassed huge reactions online, Big Bang Production, addressed controversy surrounding a painting featured in one of the show’s episodes. The issue came to light when an artist Seffy Soomro claimed that the painting used in the episode was originally his, displayed at Mohatta Palace for an exhibition.

The artist alleged that the painting was never returned to him by the palace’s management. The controversy gained traction on social media, leading to a wave of discussions and concerns.

Amid outrage, the production house issued a clarification to clear the air. According to their statement, the production team rented the location for filming purposes, and any assets present at the venue, including the painting in question, were owned by the venue itself.

Big Bang Production said they were unaware of painting’s original ownership and were not involved in any issues related to the artwork’s provenance. The production house advised the artist to reach out directly to Mohatta Palace to address and resolve the matter.

The statement also aims to reassure fans and stakeholders that the production team operated in good faith and adhered to legal and ethical standards while creating the hit drama serial.
