VIDEO: Ski-lift glitch injures 8 in Georgia with others tossed into air

TBILISI – A ski lift malfunctioning threw people away from their seats at a ski resort leading to the injury of eight people in Georgia.

Tourists were traveling downhill at the Gudauri, a ski resort in the Caucasus Mountains when the lift started moving at a rapid pace backward.

Video of the ski lift’s glitch shows individual chairs whipping down the mountain at high speeds, at one point crashing into one another.

Some of the chairlift’s riders opted to jump off before reaching the bottom of the lift, while others held on and were violently tossed into air.
