MUMBAI – A disturbing incident has been reported from Indian state of Uttar Pradesh where a housemaid is facing charges for mixing urine into dough used for making rotis.
The accused woman was identified as Reena who worked at the house of Nitin Gautam – a real estate businessman by profession.
The family members faced trouble when Nitin’s wife along with other members faced liver problems. After getting suspect, the family started keeping check on house maid’s activities in kitchen. Gautam took matters into his own hands, secretly recording a video that captured Reena allegedly adding urine to the flour.
After getting evidence, the family approached the police and a case was registered. During grilling, the woman identified as Reena denied the allegations but later confessed to contaminating food in revenge for being scolded for minor mistakes.
The accused is facing charges related to spreading dangerous diseases. This incident is part of a disturbing trend in the state, with similar cases of food contamination involving human waste being reported in several areas.
