Imran Khan receives guard of honor at PM House

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan received a guard of honor presented by smartly turned-out personnel of the armed forces at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad on Saturday.

Clad in a Black Sherwani, Khan inspected the guard of honor along with his Military Secretary, Brig. Iftikhar Cheema and shook hands with the staff of the PM House before he left the palatial house.

Earlier, the recently elected premier took the oath of his office at Aiwan-e-Sadr where scores of guests had gathered.

All the services chiefs, Chief of the Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa, Air Chief Marshall Mujahid Anwar Khan, Admiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi and other civilian top guns attended the event.

Media veterans including Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, Naseem Zehra, Moeed Pirzada, Sabir Shakir, Salman Iqbal, Mian Aamir Mehmood, Yousaf Baig Mirza, Mansoor Afaq, Fahad Hussain, Rana Jawad, Muhammad Malick, Javed Sheikh and others were at the event.

Former Indian Cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu and Imran Khan’s class fellow Vikram Mehta were also present at the President House for the swearing-in ceremony.
