Nisar to brief parliament over judicial commission s report on Quetta attack

ISLAMABAD – Minister for interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan would be responding to his rivals regarding the revelations in the judicial commission over Quetta hospital carnage, on Tuesday.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali on Monday sought an appropriate time for Tuesday to brief National Assembly on certain points raised by Opposition Leader Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah on judicial commission’s report.

After the speech of Opposition Leader Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah on the inquiry commission’s report, the Interior Minister said he would reply to points raised by the opposition leader.

‘Give me time tomorrow to address the issues raised by the opposition leader in his speech.’ he said

The minister said criticism against him carried no substance as he had already provided information thrice to the Senate and twice to National Assembly on performance of National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) and implementation of National Action Plan.

He contested the speech of the opposition leader and said that in this House members should stick to facts and it had become imperative to reply the points raised by the members.

He was also irked by the agitating attitude of PTI members and said that it seemed as the members needed proper education about conduct of the House.

‘They perhaps need to be taught at adult education institutions,” Nisar said.

The legislator stated that the opposition members must have courage to listen to the viewpoint of the treasury benches.

“If they blame the government, they should also have courage to listen the reply,” he added.

It is worth mentioning that the report by Justice Qazi Faiz Essa had pointed fingers at the interior ministry for misleading statements after the Quetta hospital blast that claimed 72 lives in August.
