DUBAI – A pilot was forced to make an emergency landing after a fight broke out when a passenger wouldn’t stop farting.
Transavia Airlines Flight HV6902 from Dubai to Amsterdam made an emergency landing in Vienna after the brawl erupted, according to European media reports.
Two men sitting next to the culprit asked him to stop farting multiple times. When he refused to listen to them the crew was called and at one point even the pilot intervened.
When all efforts failed, the decision was made to make an unexpected landing in Vienna, Austria, and evict the man.
Police also removed two men and two sisters from the plane due to a row of seats. They were heard using abusive language and misbehaving.
A video clip of the incident went viral after it was shared on social media.

Nora Lachhab, 25, told De Telegraaf: “It was crazy that we were included, we had no idea who these boys were, we just had the bad luck to be in the same row and we didn’t do anything.
“They did not do anything to justify the bizarre behaviour of the Transavia crew.
“Do they sometimes think that all Moroccans cause problems? That’s why we do not let it sit.
The airline confirmed that four people had been issued with travel bans but those removed have not been arrested.
A spokesperson from Transavia said in a statement, “Our crew must ensure a safe flight. When passengers pose risks, they immediately intervene – Our people are trained for that. They know very well where the boundaries are. Transavia is therefore square behind the cabin crew and the pilots.”
