Imran Khan Shares Special Message For Lahore Rally

RAWALPINDI – PTI founder Imran Khan has stated that the Lahore rally will be a decisive moment; if it’s stopped, they will fill the jails.

In an informal conversation with journalists at Adiala Jail, the PTI founder said that there should be a thorough debate on the constitutional court matter. He stressed that the Supreme Court is the last institution people have expectations from and warned that if it is also destroyed, Pakistan would become a failed state.

He also commented on the Afghan issue, saying the country’s future is at stake and they are pursuing the Afghan Consulate.

When asked about his stance on the Charter of Democracy, which included the establishment of constitutional courts, Khan responded that every situation has its context. He noted that the current amendment aims solely to save Justice Qazi Faez Isa. Such decisions should not be made in secrecy; what is being done now is against the constitution.

He further stated that Justice Faez Isa should be removed from this court and placed in a constitutional court. Khan criticised those making decisions, saying they are afraid and that he had anticipated these amendments. He insisted that any changes should have been made after full consultation, not in the dead of night, as this reveals their intentions.

Khan declared that they are trying to dismantle the Supreme Court, calling the Lahore rally a “Do or Die” situation. He told his party to be prepared to face jail time, stating that he is ready to stay in jail and encouraging the public not to fear imprisonment.

Regarding those who speak of honoring votes but respect boots instead, Khan criticized the idea of democracy being upheld through force or coercion. He supported the Rawalpindi Commissioner’s observation about Justice Isa and the Chief Election Commissioner being in collusion, accusing them of trying to extend the tenure of certain officials to avoid exposure.

In response to a question about the Afghan Consul not standing for the national anthem, Khan dismissed it, saying there are much bigger issues facing the country. The future of the nation is at stake, and such matters are secondary.

When asked about Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s rejection of the government’s constitutional amendment, Khan suggested that the questioner was trying to trap him for a headline. He noted that with 28 years in politics, he understands the game and accused the questioner of trying to create a headline by sidelining his entire discussion.
