Pakistan Announces Participation In International Transport Corridor

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has announced its participation in the international transport corridor, which will also include Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan.

A memorandum of understanding for economic and trade cooperation was signed between Pakistan and Russia, the Foreign Office said in a statement, adding that Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and his counterpart Alexei Overchuk witnessed the signing ceremony.

The FO spokesperson further stated that Pakistan also signed an MOU with the Mercantile and St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange. The spokesperson mentioned that Pakistan announced its participation in the memorandum related to the construction and development of the international transport corridor.

The document was signed on behalf of Pakistan by Ali Sher Mahsud, Secretary of the Ministry of Communications.
