Women lynched in Kabul for burning Quran

KABUL (Web Desk) – An enraged mob on Friday lynched a woman in Afghanistan capital for allegedly burning a copy the Holy Quran, reported BBC.

Hundreds of locals and passersby attacked her with stones and sticks until she died, the police commander Saleh Muhammad told, the body was later on set on fire.

The police have arrested the four suspects following the incidents.

The identity of the lynched woman is yet to be known, said the commander. However the local media quoted her parents saying “Farkhunda had been suffering from mental illness for 16 years and she didn’t burn the copy intentionally”.
