LAHORE – The World Bank in collaboration with Planning and Development Department Punjab organised a workshop to launch the BOOST program for Punjab Province.
The BOOST program was a World Bank collaborative efforts launched in 2010 to provide quality access to budget data. The initiative strives to make well classified and highly disaggregated budget data available for policy makers and practitioners within government, researchers and civil society and promote their effective use for improved budgetary decision making, analysis, transparency and accountability.
During the workshop, participants from Punjab Planning and Development Department, Finance Department and Punjab Economic Research institute (PERI) P&D were introduced to the BOOST tool and gained experience in applying multiple types of analytical techniques.
