Men on a Mission: British Muslim bikers complete first London-Madinah Hajj Ride (pics and videos)

MADINAH, KSA – A group of eight British Muslims has just completed a 3,200-km journey by travelling through nine countries on their bicycles to reach Saudi Arabian city of Madinah to perform Hajj pilgrimage.

It took the riders six weeks to complete the Hajj Ride, which started from London.

Crossing many parts of Britain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy, Greece, and Egypt, the Hajj Riders proved their mettle to finish this incredible task.

They crossed all kinds of terrain ranging from roads to mountains and had to endure harsh weather conditions that include unbearable heats, rain, and storm.

Throughout their journey, they had support from the locals of every country they visited. These people shared their food and offered shelter to the riders.

The men made it to Saudi Arabia on Saturday evening where they were given a police escort to reach the Holy Prophet’s Mosque, or Masjid-e-Nabvi (PBUH).

Upon reaching the mosque, the cyclists shared a very emotional journey with the people who were following them.

The riders will now rest in Madinah and will start their Hajj which begins at the end of August.

Their remarkable journey also served another purpose of raising funds for various medical projects in Syria. Their target is to reach £1 million.
