ICC World Cup 2019: Sri Lanka beat England by 20 runs

LEEDS – Sri Lanka registered their World Cup victory over England at Leeds’ Headingley Cricket Ground on Friday.

Batting first after winning the toss, the Sri Lankan team gave the hosts a 233-run target which Morgan-led men could not achieve.

The match started at 2:30pm of Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

Host England was on the third spot on the points table following their wins against Bangladesh, West Indies and Afghanistan.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka’s only win of the tournament came against Afghanistan.

According to the UK Met office, no rain was predicted for Friday.
