MANCHESTER – Former Pakistani skipper, Wasim Akram claimed on Tuesday that he was humiliated by the authorities at the Manchester airport as he was carrying Insulin in a special bag, drawing the ire of fellow citizens.

The athlete detailed the ordeal that he travels around the world with Insulin but was ‘rudely questioned’ and was ordered to take it out of the travel cold-case and dump it to a plastic case.
The diabetic former player expressed that he was not expecting a special treatment but hastened to add that there should be a standard of care when dealing with all people.

I understand there are proper safety precautions but that doesn’t mean people should be humiliated whilst undergoing them, Akram detailed on Twitter.
Soon after Akram revealed the episode on social media, Pakistani cricket fans threw weight behind the legend and took aim at the authorities.
