GILGIT – The funeral prayers of the victims of Babusar bus incident were offered in Helipad ground Gilgit on Monday morning.
Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Raja Jalal Hussain, Chief Minister Hafeez-ur-Rehman, Speaker Fida Muhammad Nashad, Force Commander Northern Area Maj Gen Ehsan Mehmood Khan and other military and civil officials attended the funeral prayer.
Bodies of 24 people who died in the tragic road accident were later taken to their native hometowns for burial.
According to ISPR, ten dead bodies of Army men who martyred in tragic bus incident were dispatched to Islamabad by C-130 and sixteen civilians to Skardu through Pak Army Helicopter.
Funeral prayers for the remaining two victims were held a day before.
At least 26 people, including 10 soldiers, were killed when their speeding bus rammed into a cliff.

According to officials, the bus driver lost control over his vehicle while making a sharp turn due to speeding. It was en route to Rawalpindi from Skardu was carrying 37 passengers.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi had also expressed his grief over the tragedy.
