Later on, he addressed senior party leaders at the Bilawal House accompanied by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah, former CM Qaim Ali Shah and his sister Faryal Talpur.
Addressing the gathering, Zardari said that there was no need to worry about anything, asking the party leaders to wait and see.
Asif Zardari has returned to Pakistan after ending 18 months long self-exile and it is expected that he would be taking potshots at the PML-N led government sporadically in future.
He is to address a mammoth of crowd on December 27, at the death anniversary of slain PPP leader Benazir Bhutto and that speech would determine the future course of politics for PPP as Bilawal has already threatened the government to accept his four demands by the same date.
The former president abruptly left the country on June 24, 2015 after a blunt diatribe against the military establishment for crossing its domain.
Zardari during a hard-hitting speech in Fata on June 16 warned the establishment to refrain from character assassination of political parties.
“If you do not stop, I will come out with a list of accused generals since Pakistan’s creation,” he said.
“Stop victimising us or we will tear you down brick by brick. We do not want to undermine your establishment. So be advised… You have been warned, you have been warned, you have been warned,” Zardari added categorically stirring controversy among the civil-military corridors.
Earlier on Friday, Rangers conducted a raid on offices of Zardari’s close aide Anwar Majeed and detained 3 individuals from multiple areas of city however, the government disassociated itself from such raids.
