ISLAMABAD – Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has announced the death of his elder brother Shahid Akhtar.
Sharing the news on social media platform X, Shoaib Akhtar said that his beloved brother had returned to Allah Almighty.
The former fast bowler expressed his grief and informed followers that the funeral prayer for Shahid Akhtar will be held today after Asr prayers in H-8, Islamabad.
The news has prompted messages of condolence and sorrow from people in cricket and social circles.
