Police deployed at Lal Masjid to bar Maulana Abdul Aziz from speech

ISLAMABAD – A large contingents of federal police have been deployed around the Lal Masjid and Jamaia Hafsa in Islamabad to bar Maulana Abdul Aziz from addressing a conference on Tahafuz e Namoos e Risalat.

Former speaker of the mosque Maulana Abdul Aziz is among the other clerics who are set to address the conference but he has not been given permission in this regard.

The conference has been called by the administration in order to condemn the blasphemous content being published on social media.

As there is a ban on Aziz from going to the Lal Masjid, the police have blocked all roads leading to the mosque. Besides, Rangers has also been deputed to control any uncertain situation.

On the other hand, mosque administration is of the view that they did not require any approval from someone adding that the moot will be conducted in the premises of the mosque.

It is being reported that IG Islamabad, Tariq Masoos Yaseen visited the G-6 and ordered the officials to maintain the security in the area and no one will be allowed breach the law.
