KARACHI – The Sindh High Court on Thursday remarked that the court could not order provision of security to PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto as it would set a precedent for other individuals who would move court for the same purpose.
Hearing a petition asking for increased security for Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Chief justice observed that Bilawal was seeking security from his own party led Sindh government.
CJ expressed that the ministers who head to Dubai for meeting Bilawal roam around with massive squad of over 200 vehicles. The court inquired as if Bilawal was asking for security from Sindh ministers.
The Sindh government also submitted response in court stating that Bilawal was being provided fool proof security. Sindh High Court sought reply from federal government within a week.
SHC also asked Bilawal’s counsel to submit policy and details regarding the provision of security to individuals.
