KARACHI – The holy Shab-e-Barat, the night of fortune and forgiveness, will be observed in the country on May 11 as the Shaban moon was sighted and the first of Shaban will fall on Friday (tomorrow).
The Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal committee Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman made the decision at a meeting at the Met Complex which was also attended by members of the zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committee, said a press release here on Thursday.
The committee also received information about sighting of moon from other committees based in Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Umer Kot and other places.
