ISLAMABAD – Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations Major General Asif Ghafoor has said that the nation will pay tribute to its martyrs and their families on September 6.

“In the last seven decades every Pakistani from all walks of life sacrifice for their beloved homeland, this year we decided to celebrate defence day in a unique manner, every Pakistani will IA (Inshaa Allah) be part of this unique campaign reaching out to their families, home, street, mohalla, village, city, province & place of Martyrdom. Lets (let us) salute their sacrifice,” said DG ISPR in a press conference on Tuesday.
Besides the military, multiple civilian organizations would also stage special events to mark the day which would be observed in the memory of fallen soldiers and civilians.
