ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has called Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah in Islamabad to iron out the differences between federal government and the Sindh province on the matter of Rangers powers.
Sources said the PM called the chief minister on Tuesday in Islamabad to address the reservations of Sindh government on Rangers policing powers. Qaim Ali Shah will express his strong reservations on the notification issued by federal government on Rangers powers.
He will also inform PM about interference by interior ministry in the provincial government’s affairs and the FIA raids in government departments.
Sources said the prime minister will assure to CM Sindh to ease tense situation prevailing between federal government and Sindh and remove his reservations.
PM Nawaz has also called Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to arrange a meeting between him and CM Sindh in order to allay the wrong perceptions between the two leaders.
