LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Sheharyar Khan on Tuesday announced that he wil be visiting India to condole the death of former BCCI head Jagmohan Dalmiya.
Addressing a press conference he said the issue of scheduled series between Pakistan and India will also be discussed with new BCCI chief during the visit. “I am hopeful that series will take place as scheduled in United Arab Emirates,” he said.
While answering a question Sheharyar Khan termed Mr Dalmiya as one of the friends of Pakistan and he went on to say that death of former BCCI chairman is a blow for Pakistan as well.
The PCB chief said it is a positive development that Indian government is also interested in conducting a cricket series between Pakistan and India. However PCB has made another plan that will be followed if India refuses to play scheduled series, he added.
