LAHORE – Lahore Qalandars defeated Islamabad United by 88 runs in the 19th match of Pakistan Super League Season (PSL) 10.
Chasing a target of 210 runs, Islamabad United were bowled out for 121 runs in 16.5 overs.
Earlier, in the match held at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, Islamabad United’s captain Shadab Khan won the toss and invited Lahore Qalandars’ skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi to bat first.
Batting first, Lahore Qalandars scored 209 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Fakhar Zaman was the top scorer with 44 runs.
Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Naeem opened the innings for Lahore Qalandars, but Naeem was run out after scoring 25. Fakhar Zaman made 44, Abdullah Shafique 22, Daryl Mitchell 28, and Sikandar Raza 39 runs, while Sam Billings remained not out on 38.
It is worth mentioning that Islamabad United tops the points table, while Lahore Qalandars hold the third position.
