Transgender person gunned down in Karachi

KARACHI – Unknown assailants have killed a transgender person in Karachi on Tuesday night, while police have arrested several suspects including a female robber during different raids, local media reported.

The deceased identified as Chanda succumbed to bullet wounds after unknown men, who were in a car, opened fire on number of transgenders in Shahbaz Commercial area of Defence.

One of the friends of the deceased, who was present at the spot, said that the attackers, who were in a vehicle with dark glasses and private security guards, first threw eggs on them and drove away.

After a while, they came back and started firing, causing Chanda’s death.

Meanwhile, the police conducted various raids in different areas of Karachi and apprehended around two dozen suspects including a female robbers.
